As soon as I was in his arms I wrapped my arms around his neck, “Xander…,” I slurred.
“Yes, kitten” he responded with a straight face and climbed up the stairs.
“You nook…shooooo…hanshame,” I kissed his cheeks and placed my forehead against his temple. He stiffened instantaneously but began to relax after a while.
“Thanks,” he told me after an awkward pause. His scent engulfed my nostrils, which made me snuff his neck. My nose trailed a path to the length of his neck.
“Are you sniffing me?” he asked me with amusement clear in his voice. I saw his lips slightly turned upward.
“You shmell gwood,” I giggled and sniffed further. He placed me on a soft thing and tucked me with my duvet.
“Sleep, Sweetcheeks.” He told me and turned abruptly to leave.
“Noooo, shtay.” I pulled his arm towards me, which made him stumble and land on top of me. I buried my nose at the crook of his neck and inhaled his addicting scent. I felt him shiver against me. He balanced his weight with his elbows and looked into my eyes.
“You look so adorable when you’re drunk,” he told me like he was in a trance. He kissed my forehead, then my nose, which made me giggle. He smiled at me and kissed both my flushed cheeks.
His breath tickled my lips, he was so close to my face but he didn’t initiate any steps to kiss me. I grumbled and pushed him by his collar and smacked my lips against his.
He snaked my waist possessively and pushed me closer to him. Our lips synced in unison, his lips moulded perfectly with mine. He growled in satisfaction and trailed his kisses down my collar bone and sucked softly which made me tug at his hair.
“Not now when you’re out of your sense,” he told me and pecked my lips.
“What happened? Do your parents say something?” he asked and lay beside me, one hand tugged under his head while the other one wrapped around my shoulder. I placed my head on his chest and hugged his torso.
I played with his shirt button not answering his question. I heard him taking a deep breath but he didn’t say anything. We stayed in comfortable silence, after a while I began to talk.
“Alexander…, have you ever loved me even for a second?” I asked him with vulnerability evident in my voice. He caressed my hair softly but didn’t say anything like he was deep in thoughts.
“Can you ever love me?” I continued. My heart ached while asking this question. My eyes tear up, my throat constricted with a lump. He sat up and pulled me to his lap. I sounded so pathetic but I can’t help it.
“Catherine…” he wiped my tear-stained cheeks and pulled me to his chest. I sniffled and he hugged me so tight against him. I wrapped my arm around his neck.
“Tell me,” hiccup “I never know” hiccup “that I killed her” hiccup “until you told me” hiccup “I was in a coma for a month”
“Shh…it’s okay,” he rubbed my back and rocked me back and forth to calm me, “It’s okay” he repeated that word to calm me.
“Will, you ever forgive me?” I cried softly,
“I forgive you, Catherine and I’m sorry for hurting you,” he kissed my temple.
“Really!” I pulled away to look up his face. His face held peace, his expression was genuine.
“Really,” he nodded with a smile.
We both slept peacefully in each other’s arm. I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulder.
The next morning I woke up with a heavy headache. When I tried to move I was restrained by something, to be precise, it was someone. It was Alexander.
My face heated upon seeing our position. Soon I was mortified, remembering the drama I created the previous night. When I saw some movement in him, I looked down at him.
He looked so peaceful and young in his sleep. His brown hair was falling on his closed eyes. I could see some streaks of blond at the end of his brown hair.
I softly brushed his hair up from his forehead. His hair felt so soft in my fingers. His grip on me tightened. I stopped my movement. He slowly opened his beautiful blue orbs and gazed up at my face.
No one spoke anything. We both were in a trance but soon realization hit us like a brick and we both tried to scurry away from each other.
After two minutes of struggle, we both pried us from each other. There was an awkward silence in the room. He was rubbing the nape of his neck. His cheeks were tinged with pink. I was sure I would be looking like a tomato by now.
“I…I’ll see you around” he stuttered and walked out of my room. I groaned and buried my face in my pillow, instantly engulfed by his masculine scent.
