My heart calmed down a bit and I hugged her so close to me, “Granny!” I sobbed on her shoulders.
“What happened, sweetheart? Are you alright?” she asked me with an alarmed tone.
“We should get out of here, please don’t ask…” I was cut off by that vile creature.
“Stop where you are!!” the rogue yelled at me. He limped his way to us.
I know my granny carries a gun with her all the time for safety reasons.
“Granny, take your gun!!” once she saw what was happening she took the gun from her bag and aimed at him.
“Stop where you are!” she yelled at him.
“You are a rogue,” she stated which made me open my mouth in shock. She knows about his kind.
“I am,” he smirked with a dangerous glint in his eyes.
What the hell was going on here?
“So, what an old she-wolf was doing with this little human,” The rogue asked my granny with his scrutinizing gaze.
His words made my world to stop. My eyes widened at him in disbelief. I knew my granny was not the biological mother of my dad and my grandpa never had a child with my granny but this was not possible.
I looked at my granny to deny what he was saying but she didn’t, instead, she did one thing that made my heart bleed to its core.
“Nothing, you can have her, I don’t care,” she told him with hatred towards me and began to walk away.
“Granny! What are you doing? Please, it’s not time to play” I pleased her. My heart tore into millions of pieces. My breath became so erratic.
“Oh, I’m not playing, Sweetheart! I thought Alexander would avenge for his mate’s death but I was wrong. That damn traitor betrayed his mate!” she yelled at me with so much anger.
“But why? It’s his mate, what is it to do with you?” my voice cracked.
“Because she was my granddaughter!!” she yelled. Her once kind face was looking as frightening as hell, “I raised her! You killed my blood!” my face paled.
She was not the loving old lady, who baked me cookies. She was not the carefree woman, who bugs me to get a boyfriend. She was not my granny anymore. Her eyes were shining yellow, her claws were extended. She looked like she was about to pounce on me.
“You knew that he prisoned me in his mansion,” I accused her with a sob. So, that’s why she didn’t mind me staying in Alexander’s home.
I started to shake like a leave. I couldn’t digest this. My vision blurred, my heart and head ached terribly like it was about to explode.
“Of course, I do, but that boy still thinks that I’m playing matchmaker for your happy ending.” She gave me a bone-chilling sinister laugh.
“Whoa! Too much drama, if you’re done, can I proceed,” the rogue asked her with a deadly smile.
“Just kill her when you leave!” she spat her words like venom.
“Granny! Granny! Please don’t do this! Please…” I cried pathetically, holding her hands, “Please…” I sobbed but she shrugged off my hands and left the place without a single glance.
“Playtime!” he yelled cheerily which made me feel like puking all over the floor.
He grabbed a fistful of my hair and tried to drag me upstairs. I clawed his hands and thrashed violently to get free.
“Leave me you fucking filth!!” I yelled at the top of my lungs. He slapped me across my cheek, which stunk like a bitch.
“Don’t you fucking yell at me you fucking skank!” he yelled so close to my face and spat in the process.
My heart pounded so fast, my breathing became so uneven. My throat was sore from all the yelling and crying.
“Catherine!”
I turned my head to the voice. It was drake and Aiden was also standing beside him. Their eyes were wide in disbelief. Soon their eyes bled yellow their wolf took them completely, they look so deadly and pissed off. Fur sprouts from their skin and Aiden’s brown wolf were the first to pounce on my attacker.
I felt on the floor like a sack of potato once the Rogue released his hold on me. I felt numb, my soul feels so numb. I didn’t feel anything. My tears made my vision so blurred. I saw a blurry image of two wolves shredding a grey wolf into pieces.
My granny was standing by the kitchen counter throwing daggers at me and Alexander’s brothers.
I heard her yelling at the Knight Brothers but I couldn’t focus on any word that she was saying.
“Catherine, are you alright?” Drake asked me and hugged me so close to his chest but I was too numb to respond. I didn’t know how my life turned from carefree to chaotic.
